I'm looking for some good ideas for restaurants to hold a small party? Something on the water that does catering of some sort would be great, too. Any ideas for 30 or less people?Continue

Try Shell Creek. There is a county boat ramp. Put in there and go north not south isurf@comcast.net

Kayaking On the Ocean Tips

Before I moved to Florida I never thought about kayaking but since I’ve been living here, I’ve found it be an amazing sport. It’s fun, exciting and some of the best exercise you’ll ever get. This is a hobby that requires you to be physically fit or you’re not going to get very far. You should also be a good swimmer because you never know when you’re going to get turned upside down. Of course, you need to learn all the safety rules and always were a life vest but being a good swimmer will help…See More

Take Care of Your Boat Engine

Cruising along the coastline in sunny Florida is an exciting and fun adventure. That is, as long as you don’t get stranded out in the water. Has this unfortunate luck ever happened to you or someone you know? Living close to the shore I visit the beaches often and I have personally seen many people stranded throughout the years. In fact, when I was new at boating, I found myself stranded a few times as well but I quickly learned my lesson.

Considering the fact that I’ve experienced… Continue

New here

(Friend's sailboat. Wish it were mine!)

Heya, I am new here but I'm liking the site so far. I grew up in Port Charlotte with three brothers and a family that loved to spend time on the waters but I don't always get as much time to hang with my family since we've all gotten… Continue
