my house near Portland is officially up for sale. When it goes i am bound for Port Charlotte. Looking for a new boat will be job number two.

Heya, I am new here but I'm liking the site so far. A friend of mine was a member of Boat Brevard and she told me they were starting a network of these sites for other areas in Florida so I wanted to check it out. I grew up in Port Charlotte with three brothers and a family that loved to spend time on the waters but I don't always get as much time to hang with my family since we've all gotten older.
I'd love to meet up with other boaters in the Port Charlotte area so I'm hoping this cool site will help me do that. This is also a great place for me to share my boating stories with people who love it as much as I do. Here's to fun in the sun!

Information on lower Myakka navigation required
Can anyone tell me if the Myakka is navigable from the Gulf Port Charlotte end up as far as River Road communities and / or Snook Haven. If so what depth is the channel? I am trying to find a chart on line that would show this but so far have failed to find one.Thanks for any help.MichaelSee More
